When A Voice in the Wilderness
was founded at the end of 1996 we began with the aim of sharing the good
news of Jesus with the broader community of the World Wide Web. However
it didn’t take us long to realize that the Internet was a big place and
that if we weren’t careful our voice would be lost among the mass of people
screaming for attention.
It became apparent that if
we were to be successful in winning people for Christ online we would
have to narrow our goals and be more specific as to what our mission field
was. This allowed us to build
evangelistic sites aimed at specific
types of people as well as really making an impact on the community through
chat rooms, e-mailing, community leadership
and much more.
